About

StoryMine creates documentary videos for mission-driven organizations in the US and abroad. Catherine Orr and Elena Rue founded StoryMine in 2011 after working side-by-side for two years and realizing the tremendous value of collaborative work. They discovered that they not only work well together as a creative team, but that they both prioritize organization and preparation. This is reflected in their process, and in how it feels to work with them. They also teach workshops and classes at the Center forDocumentary Studies at Duke University, the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, and through various other institutions.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
